CLO #1

“Acknowledge your and others’ range of linguistic differences as resources and draw on those resources to develop rhetoricalĀ sensibility.”

There was a difference between my team and I, since we were a mix of computer engineers and mechanical engineers from the start. This could be seen through the group instructions presentation, Markel 591 #10. Since this was one of the first tasks we had to do as a team, we needed to decide on a set of instructions that we will be able to explain. We ended up choosing the give instructions on how to convert WAV files into MP3 files, which seem like more of a computer engineers field. Which meant that the mechanical engineers in my group would be a bit out of field but were able to read the instructions to make sure to clarify anything that we didn’t know what a word meant, or a step seem to be missing (See figure 1). This way we could have an easy-to-understand instructions and in a sense, we did see the difference in our understanding in certain terms based on our major type of engineering.
