“Negotiate your own writing goals and audience expectations regarding conventions of genre, medium, and rhetorical situation.”
When it comes to negotiate my own writing goals and audience expectations, regarding conventions of genre for instances, I knew I had to follow a certain formatting of writing, with specific needs. But I still knew that I still had to pick a topic that interested me in order to write about it, which the audience would become apparent with a good topic. This could be seen through the assignments, all the topics were mostly chosen by use, even if there were options. Furthermore, the medium was also an interesting aspect as, there was a lot of presentations that were done, that I believed were difficult for me to do at the beginning as I was a bit shy but the more, I presented, I was able to control me nerves and stutter less in speaking. Although I didn’t want to, I managed to conquer my nerves, while also getting a hang of rhetorical situations in my writing. There isn’t a time where I don’t think of my audience and purpose in writing when I’m writing.
