The stance is the attitude towards the topic and could be had when writing any type of genera. For instance, when I was comparing these two lab reports “See figure 1”, I was gerne analyzing both these lab reports, as I pointed out things, they did that were similar and different to the formatting of the lab report genre. Although I was pointing out these features, my stance was for me to see if I could identify features that I would be able to examine and see if I would be able to incorporate it into my writing or the lab report. However, I didn’t make a lab report, I still am able to identity features of the lab report. Making sure that not only do I demonstrate to my audience, which was the professor to, show that I knew the parts of a lab report.
