“Engage in genre analysis and multimodal composing to explore effective writing across disciplinary contexts, and beyond.”
I did engage in genre analysis and multimodal, in order to explore effective writing across disciplinary context and beyond. Among the many exercises and assignments done, by genre analyzing works, has made me a better writer as I’m able to identify the things needed for a specific genre. When of these being the Markel 548 “Exercises” #1, memo, which even though it was an exercise that was meant to learning and find key futures in lab report and see what could be done differently to make it standout to other lab reports, like one of the lab reports added a theoretical framework section that helped the lab report have more context (See figure 1). Not only was this a genre analysis of lab report, it was also more practice to a previous assignment, a memo. It was also interesting to see how both were about different subjects but still had the same formatting and objective to show their findings, while having to explain it to the professor through a memo.
